Compliance Assistant


In conformance with the Bank’s Compliance Management Policy:

  • The incumbent will support the Bank’s Lending and Operational Compliance, Risk monitoring and other related functions in achieving Bank and departmental goals for implementing and maintaining a proactive and an effective compliance environment and controls for managing risks.
  • The incumbent will assist the Compliance Officer and as directed, other functional area managers, by performing certain pre-determined duties, with minimal supervision. 
  • The incumbent will become familiar with applicable banking regulations and internal policies and procedures to achieve the assigned duties, with emphasis on the lending regulations.
  • The incumbent will take direction from the Bank’s Compliance Officer.


  • Adverse Action Files and Procedures
  • HMDA Data Collection and reporting
  • CRA Technical Requirements & loan dispersion analysis
  • Perform periodic scheduled reviews of lending regulations such as:
    • Flood
    • TRID Compliance
    • Escrow accounts
    • Regulation B
  • Perform operational compliance duties including BSA as directed.
  • Assist with Loan and Operational Compliance audits and examinations.
  • Other duties assigned by the Compliance Officer.
  • Adheres to general duties and responsibilities of employees as attached.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Excellent computer skills, to create tables, and other Management or Board reports.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff.  Ability to establish and maintain a good work rapport with employees, outside contacts, including customers of the Bank. 
  • Integrity, dependability, honesty, and willingness to get the job completed in a professional manner accurately and timely.
  • Well organized, efficient and ability to work independently.  Detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of banking lending regulations and deposit related regulations.  Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data, within the scope of the job duties.
